Silver Tangle Twig Pendant


This silver hoop pendant was cast from a hawthorn twig collected while walking along the Welsh coast. Sometimes known as the May tree, the Hawthorn is named after the month in which it blooms and is often seen as a sign that spring is turning to summer.

Material: Sterling Silver
Hoop width and length: 23 mm
Twig Thickness: 1.5 - 2 mm
Chain: Sterling Silver trace curb chain available in 16", 18" and 20" length

Hawthorn is a pagan symbol of fertility and has ancient associations with May Day. It was the ancestor of the Maypole and its leaves and flowers the source of May Day garlands as well as appearing in the wreath of the Green Man.
